Raspberry
Raspberries are thought to have come from Eastern Asia and made their way to North America when prehistoric people traveled across the Bering Straight. For all of known history, raspberries have been part of humanity's diet. Raspberries appear in wide varieties of ancient literature, even appearing in Greek Mythology. According to that legend, raspberries gained their red color when Zeus's nursemaid, Ida, pricked her finger on a raspberry plant's thorn. Don't worry! You do not have to prick your fingers on your raspberry plant to make the berries red. Ida did it for you already!
