Kiwi

Kiwi is not the original name of this very tasty fruit! Kiwi was known as the Chinese Gooseberry until it was introduced to New Zealand, where it gained a marketing make-over. New Zealand decided to rename the fruit after their national bird and--boom--the kiwi was born!
